The 1 Thing About The Scrum Guide Conference Your Team Wants To Know.
Our first Scrum Guide Conference in Chicago last week was the stuff Scrum Practitioners and Agilistas get excited about. It was a full day of experiential learning geared for the complex challenges of an Agile workforce. And the energy and feedback around The Scrum Handbook, the most Agile version of Scrum that exists, was clear throughout the day’s events.
3Back’s Senior Agility Experts, Doug Shimp’s morning keynote set the stage to understanding the evolution and need for The Scrum Handbook. Dan Rawsthorne continued with demonstrating how Scrum Handbook improves and extends the Scrum framework including Product Ownership, Scrum Mastering, the Definition of Done, and the Sprint Review.
From there, participants took advantage of high impact break out sessions, led by the 3Back Team, which included these course options:
- Well-Formed Team™ (WFT)
- Scaling Fundamentals
- The Scrum Handbook and Kanban
- Scrum Mastering
- SSwS (Scaling Scrum with Scrum)
- Team Model for WFT
- Product Ownership
- The Scrum handbook: MTS and Other Scaling Frameworks
- Scrum Dictionary
Armed with their Scrum Guide swag, including their own Scrum Handbook and Get To Done® cards, the day ended with a lively, moderated panel discussion with Scrum industry leaders. Many participants took advantage of our multiple day training options, including 3Back’s classroom training of Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Scaling Professional (ASP), and Kanban Systems Design (KSD) with their Scrum Guide conference experience, not to mention, lots of valuable networking time.
Here’s what one participant had to say:
“I walked into the conference expecting to learn about the concepts of Scrum Handbook. I walked away with so much more…Kanban for some teams in my organization, The Stages of Team Maturity, A better understanding of how other leaders struggle and succeed with Agile in the field, and hands-on learning I can bring back to my team and use right away.”
-Mike, Director of IT
