The 3Back Spotlight: Agile Attractor #2

Last week, we introduced to you our Agile Attractors, otherwise known as our distinctly 3Back Adages. We talked about how our Agile Attractors attract our thinking and align with what we may be experiencing in our 3Back environment at a given time.

That being said, our Agile Attractors aren’t all about us. They’re about you and your Agile Team too. We can tell you that our experience developing these Agile Attractors was both challenging and powerful, pushing our Team to grow in new ways. We encourage you to use these Agile Attractors in your environment or use them as a backdrop to develop your own.

Last week, we gave you an initial taste of one Agile Attractor, Bias for Action. And, although there’s no ranking here, it’s time to unveil our next Agile Attractor.

It’s funny that when we set out as a Team to develop our Agile Attractors, this was the first one we created. That goes to show how important it is to all of us. We think it will resonate with you too.

Agile Attractor #2: Laugh Often and Smile

We’re Agile/Scrum people. We do some really smart work that’s challenging, innovative and exciting. And stressful. Combine the demands of our work with the reality of our day to day lives and …well… that can be really stressful. That’s why it’s important to know when to be serious and when to not take ourselves too seriously. We recognize that there’s a whole lot of power in something as simple as a smile. We like to harness that power, within our team and with our clients, to do great things.

So often in our work, we talk about how we ‘think’ about things. But, this Agile Attractor ‘feels’ right, doesn’t it? As we continue to build our foundation for great things to come in 2016, It’s good for to include the ‘human/feeling’ piece as a backdrop to what we do and how we do it.
